Fellow leaf peepers, our hope with this detailed guide is that you’ll experience only the very best stops and activities along your fall road trip through Vermont. Not all our stops were highlighted in our Vermont video, but I’ve made sure to include ALL of them in this guide, along with the extra “back up” stops I had originally spent hours planning for. From pumpkin patches, apple orchards (apple cider + maple donuts + creemees), coffee shops, bagel/sandwich shops, breweries, local restaurants, bookshops, shopping, and even a couple fine dining spots - there is a lot to see & do here!

While this is the exact route we took, there are so many ways to customize your itinerary to your style and pace. If you have the chance to also check out the Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire, the fall foliage on the scenic byway is out of this world.
